The Ayco Company, a child company of Goldman Sachs, is a preeminent provider of fee-based financial counseling, including company-sponsored financial planning benefits. Serving 1 million+ employees across Corporate America, Ayco empowers employees with solutions and counsel that is needed to achieve financial wellness.
To realize its goal of helping employees to gain access to financial education, Ayco built a new 150,000 square-foot office building in the Town of Colonie, New York. This facility provides a new space for Ayco's employees to collaborate, connect, and better serve its clients with premier financial services.
At the new facility, financial advisors will meet with global clients, team members, vendors, and stakeholders to effectively manage the financial futures of millions of accounts across the United States. In the financial world, meetings can happen at a moments notice, and have a dramatic effect on the financial outcomes of any given account. Executives and employees alike needed secure AV and network infrastructure solutions that sufficiently met their needs to collaborate with international associates on a daily basis.
In short, our team installed AV systems in 45 conference rooms and huddle spaces in the Ayco/Goldman Sachs building. The rooms included
Cisco kits with secured UCC with cabling and infrastructure. All of the rooms were controlled by processors in the IDF on 5 separate floors, with each room on a network LAN and IDF data closet.
Each conference room consisted of a 98” NEC display for conferences with long lasting UHD 4K, a Cisco Webex room kit, and microphone pods installed on the table. Occupancy sensors and in room cameras were also installed to complete the conference rooms and huddle spaces.
We installed AV systems for the Security Room as well. We faced some challenges there due to the certain type of paneling used in the walls. Our designers came up with a solution using Uni-strut to hang the video wall display, allowing the screens to safely and securely hang on the wall, saving the project a lot of time otherwise spent on a request for a new work order.
We also installed four 98" displays and two cameras in the multi-purpose room, which is a divisible room used for training. We also installed, terminated, programed and tested all of the video and audio controls in the new custom workstation.
We also installed six 86” monitors in the Town Hall with four microphones and 24 speakers mounted in ceiling and on the wall. A podium was also installed to give the presenter an input for media sharing throughout the space.
